Centara Hotels & Resorts has announced that it has been awarded a contract to manage “The Residences at Fairways and Bluewater”, the combined Beach and Golf Resort complex at Boracay in the
Under the contract, signed on September 15 by Centara and New Coast Properties,Inc.(NPI), a subsidiary of the Fil-Estate Properties, the developer of Fairways and Bluewater , the Resort-Hotel properties will be renamed Centara Grand Beach Resort and Spa Boracay.

“We believe that the two properties will complement each other perfectly, connecting the capital with one of the most popular resort locations,” says Gerd Steeb, President of Centara Hotels & Resorts.
“The two properties are an integral part of our strategy for overseas expansion, as we are placing ourselves very much as a major player in the leisure resorts and MICE markets.”
Fairways and Bluewater is the largest resort on Boracay, with 246 rooms and suites, and an 18-hole golf course designed by Graham Marsh. The resort is spread over a 127-hectare site and has over one kilometre of beach front, with three coves.
NPI plans to invest significantly over the next five years in expanding the resort, building an additional 250 rooms and 20 luxury villas, a new spa, 10 more food and beverage outlets, gaming and entertainment facilities, a club facility, a wedding chapel, additional meeting and conference facilities, and a marina.
