The Thailand Property Awards nominations for the Eastern Seaboard’s Best Condominium Development and Best Villa Development are being submitted until July 8, with the nominated developments submitting their entry forms up until July 15.
Eastern Seaboard site visits will be conducted from July 25 to August 15, with the Thailand Property Awards 2016 Central and Regional panel judges meeting in Bangkok on August 15.
Yes, once again we are quickly approaching the eagerly-awaited annual event that recognizes the residential sector’s leading real estate professionals, property developers, interior designers, and architects.
Along with this year’s Best Villa and Best Condo Developments for the Eastern Seaboard, nominations and entries are coming in national categories including Best Developer, Best Boutique Developer, Best Commercial Development (Retail), Best Commercial Development (Office), Best Commercial Development (Hotel), Best Residential Architectural Design, Best Residential Interior Design, Best Hotel Interior Design, Best Retail Architectural Design, Best Office Architectural Design, Best Hotel Architectural Design, Best Landscape Architectural Design, Best Green Development, and Special Recognition in CSR.
For ten years now this great annual awards event has established itself as the highest symbol of achievement that a company or an individual can receive in Thailand’s residential, commercial, design and hospitality real estate industries.
In order to avoid accusations of favoritism, the organizers use a panel of independent judges, and the entire judging process is monitored by one of the world’s leading internal auditing firms and official supervisor, BDO Advisory Thailand.
Having said that, you might ask how these awards are decided and what is the process that produces them.
The Thailand Property Awards central (Bangkok) and regional panel of judges are comprised of leading Thailand professionals, i.e., real estate agents, appraisers, lawyers, architects, etc., who examine and score all nominees.
In the Development Awards category, the central and regional panel of prestigious judges review, examine and score each nominee and then submit their initial short-lists of five properties for each category to Paul Ashburn of BDO Advisory–the official supervisor insuring that the judging is done fairly and with integrity.
Next, the regional panel heads and their appointed judging teams inspect all nominees in their respective region.
Along with the Eastern Seaboard’s regional head panel judge and organizer Clayton Wade and honorary judge Pongstorn Sangruchi, the Eastern Seaboard judges include Teresa Biesty, a seasoned national panel judge and long-time Eastern Seaboard judge. There will be at least 3 to 5 scoring judges that will make each and every property site visit to complete the process of identifying the best properties in each of the above categories.
The actual on-site judging procedures for the Eastern Seaboard’s Best Condominium and Villa Development Awards along with the other award categories submitted will score each property based upon the criteria of design/concept, value for money, sales success and construction.
Actual dates for visiting nominated sites will be determined during July and August and will be announced in one of our next Thailand Property Awards 2016 updates.
The Thailand Property Awards is truly a spectacular event. Terry Blackburn, Ensign Media managing director and organizer of the Thailand Property Awards–now working under the ownership of the Property Guru Group, deserves tremendous credit for having produced, in just a few years, Thailand’s cutting-edge residential, commercial and hotel industry property awards venue.
We are also pleased to announce that the hugely successful sanitary fittings manufacturer Hansgrohe Company, founded by Hans Grohe in 1901, in Schiltach, Germany, is the Platinum sponsor for this year’s Awards event.
Thailand’s most glamorous and expensive residential, commercial and hotel industry developments will once again be represented at this spectacular event along with the country’s most innovative and successful developers, interior designers and architects. Just as last year, the event promises to be yet another glamorous showcase for the industries finest and most successful.
