SE Asia’s biggest building technology fair in Bangkok – Over 400,000 attendees expected
Billed as Southeast Asia’s biggest building technology exposition, the Architect Expo is opening its gates once more.
Now on its 31st edition, the fair will run from 2 May through 7 May in Bangkok. Architects, interior designers and those in related professions are enjoined to attend this year’s event, themed “Baan Baan: Reconsidering Dwelling.”
Around 850 firms are expected to flock to the affair from such countries as Australia, Cambodia, China, Czech Republic, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, and Vietnam. More than 100,000 products and services will be showcased.
Exhibitors include South Korean company K-Décor, Thai industrial conglomerate SCG, and synthetic wood manufacturer Greenlam. A seminar, ASA Forum 2017, will have a roster of international speakers in the fields of design and architecture.
The number of expo attendees this year are expected to top 400,000. Spread over 75,000 square metres of space at the Challenger Hall 1-3 in IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, the fair will have various activity zones for attendees.
Exhibits will be divided into three sections: Dwellings, Dwelling Elements, and Dwelling Surroundings. A recreation section will simulate a working destination centre in the city, while the Builder Jobs zone will serve as a job fair. A separate display will also be erected for green building materials.
