No proposed construction of Pang-nga airport as yet
There has been no proposal to build an airport in Pang-nga as yet, said Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha.
He said any plan to construct the airport in a forest reserve in Pang-nga province is to strictly adhere to regulations and procedures.
He said the project will need to be given a feasibility study to see whether or not it may comply with the Ministry of Transport’s plan to promote connectivity within Thailand and that with CLMV countries.
He said environmental impacts and local interests from such development projects are yet to be taken into account.
