National Power Supply awards AFRY the owner’s engineer services assignment for its new 30MW floating solar PV project in 304 Industrial Park in Prachinburi, Thailand
National Power Supply Public Co., Ltd (NPS) has awarded AFRY the owner’s engineer services assignment for its new 30MW floating solar PV project. Through this project, AFRY confirm their commitment to a clean energy future.
Solar PV power is one of the main clean and green sources of energy and plays a pivotal role in tackling climate change. We are witnessing a rapid growth in solar power plant installations worldwide. In this context, floating solar PV systems are also widely expanding in regions where there is scarcity of available lands, such as in the Asia Pacific region. This technology in fact represents a strategic and sustainable compromise which allows production of renewable energy without taking up land and terrain reserved for other crucial sectors like agriculture.
NPS is developing a 30MWp floating solar PV plant to be installed in their water pond located in 304 Industrial Park in Prachinburi. The generated power will be provided to NPS at 22kV level.
AFRY’s assignment includes preparation of EPC tender documents, evaluation of EPC proposals, assistance during EPC contract negotiations, project management, design review, and monitoring of construction and commissioning of the project.
