Juwi to build 80 MW of solar parks in Vietnam
9 October 2018
German renewable projects developer Juwi AG said today it has won two engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracts for a couple of solar projects in Vietnam with a combined capacity of 80 MW.
Juwi said in a statement that the awards were made by a consortium comprising the BIM Group of Vietnam and the energy arm of Philippine group Ayala Corp (PSE:AC) — AC Energy. The German firm will build one 50-MW solar park and a 30-MW plant in Ninh Thuan province. It will be in charge of designing, engineering and constructing the plants, and of procuring the needed equipment. In addition, it will be operating and maintaining the facilities upon completion for at least five years.
In August, AC Energy and the BIM Group announced they had signed EPC contracts and financing documents for the development of certain solar projects in Vietnam under a partnership that could exceed 300 MWp
