27 June 2019
Japanese engineering group JGC Corp announced on Tuesday that it has completed the construction of 120 MW direct current (DC) of photovoltaic (PV) plants in Vietnam.
JGC, through its local subsidiary JGC Vietnam, was awarded the contract for the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) works by TTC Green Energy and TTC Energy Development, affiliates of the Thanh Thanh Cong Group (TTC Group). Gulf Energy Development PLC is a co-investor.
Located in Tay Ninh province, the 70-MW DC TTC 1 and the 50-MW DC TTC 2 solar parks are expected to generate enough power to meet the demand of approximately 83,000 households per year. The opening ceremony was held on June 19, 2019.
With the completion of these two plants, the company now has constructed a total of 190 MW DC of PV facilities in the Asian country, it noted.
