Eastern Economic Corridor – Airport high-speed train project attracts many firms

A total of 31 private firms have their expressed interest in bidding for the government’s high-speed train project to connect two major airports, Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang, with U-Tapao International Airport.
The acting Governor of the State Railway of Thailand (SRT), Voravuth Mala, said on Monday (July 9th) that Thai and foreign companies had purchased the bidding papers.
The high-speed train project is part of the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC). The project aims to promote U-Tapao International Airport in Ban Chang district of Rayong province.
