A household brand when it comes to horizontal directional drilling (HDD) services, Strega is expanding its offerings to provide a reliable one-stop service to markets in Thailand and Asia. Having nurtured long-term alliances with complementary businesses in the oil and gas sector, Strega has acquired relevant experience in various fields of construction work – from site survey and shop drawings, excavation trenching, erection and fabrication of facilities to electrical and instrumental works. The multidiscipline engineering, procurement and construction management company is focused on building more sustainable relationships to support and develop the energy and infrastructure industries of Thailand and beyond.
“To provide a comprehensive service, we changed the company’s identity as a pure HDD service provider,” says Pipat Suvanajata, CEO of Strega. “We focused on our strengths in the energy sector, empowered our people and bolstered our partnerships.” Pipat Suvanajata, CEO, Strega
A subsidiary of diversified investment holding company Triton, Strega maintains an excellent portfolio of engineering and construction projects. The company’s existing collaboration with the China Petroleum Pipeline is set to complete the 600km oil pipeline of the Northern Fuel Pipeline Transmissions project from Bang Pa-in to the Lampang oil depot.
“My concept is to forge partnerships and alliances to take on the bigger projects,” Pipat says. “Our background is good, and we have solid support from Triton and our people.”
Strega welcomes more business and investment partners to efficiently serve the neighbouring markets of Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia and the Philippines. The company is keen on working with cutting-edge companies in developing future technologies such as energy storage systems.
“Industries in Thailand and in Asia are growing, and we want to forge valuable synergies that bring opportunities to investors,” Pipat says. “We are a specialist in HDD, but we also have capabilities in managing construction, engineering, planning and financing projects.”
