Amec Foster Wheeler announces it has been awarded a Front End Engineering Design (FEED) contract by Thai Oil Public Company Limited for its Clean Fuel Project at the in Thailand. The contract is due for completion in the second quarter of 2017.
The project will enable a crude distillation capacity expansion from 275,000 barrels per stream day (bpsd) to 410,000 bpsd and improvements to the energy efficiency of Thai Oil’s refinery, as well as the production of transportation fuels to more stringent product quality specifications. This will be achieved with the installation of a number of new units, including Amec Foster Wheeler’s Solvent Deasphalting technology.
