Luxury hotel chain Kempinski officially opened its Bangkok property this week with a huge party attended by Thailand‘s Crown Princess and 2,000 other guests.

The Siam Kempinski Bangkok is Kempinski’s first venture into Thailand and will be one of the most luxurious properties in the Thai capital.

Offering 303 rooms situated next to Sa Pathum Palace, the hotel features a 14-meter tall marble lobby dominated by a multi-tiered fountain, large tropical gardens and three saltwater swimming pools.

Guests in need of refreshment can choose from the Brasserie Europa fine dining restuarant, the T Lounge, the Sra Bua modern Thai restaurant and the 1897 Whisky Bar and cigar court.

The hotel also holds a 1,500-strong collection of art, 200 of which are original paintings and sculptures by Thai artists.

Two other chains also unveiled properties in the Thai capital this week.

The Wyndham-owned Ramada chain opened the 11-storey Ramada Hotels & Suites Bangkok, five minutes from the capital’s busy Sukhumvit Road and offering views of the impressive Bangkok skyline, a gym, fitness center and pool.

Accor, already the largest international hotel operator in Thailand, unveiled a new Novotel property, the Novotel Bangkok Fenix Silom.

Situated on Bangkok‘s Silom Road (close to several other hotels and the Chao Phraya River), the new property features an all-day restaurant, a lobby/lounge, a sidewalk cafe, a fitness center, pool and shopping arcade.
